Barn buddies are animal companions that you can assign to your horse. In addition to adding a charming touch to your horse’s profile, they also enhance your horse’s performance in competitions by providing bonus points. Typically, barn buddies provide a small boost to the final competition score in one or two specific disciplines, such as dressage or showjumping. The size of the bonus and the affected discipline(s) vary depending on the barn buddy.

How to get a Barn buddy

You can get a Barn buddy by attending special events, by buying special bundles or buy them from other players in the animal shelter in Buffaloo.

Age Barn buddy

A barn buddy has a limited lifespan, lasting a set number of days. Each real-life day that a barn buddy is assigned to a horse, it ages. You can see how many days the barn buddy can be used in your inventory. Your Barn buddy will not age when it's in your inventory.

Naming your barn buddy

When you are assigning a barn buddy to your horse, you can give the barn buddy a name. You can also choose to leave the field open so that it does not get a name.

Assigning or unassigning a barn buddy

If you have a barn buddy, you can assign it to a horse. In order to do this, you have to go to the profile of the horse you want to assign the barn buddy to. Under the care tab there is a selection tab. Please note: this selection tab is only visible if you have a barn buddy available! In this selection tab you can select and assign a barn buddy.

Barn buddies can be unassigned from a horse, if they have been assigned to the horse for at least 12 days. The barn buddy will be moved back to your inventory once it is unassigned. It can then be assigned to a different horse. When the horse passes away, the barn buddy will automatically be moved back to your inventory.

If your barn buddy is assigned to a horse, it will not show up in your inventory, but instead can be viewed on the profile of your horse.

Barn Buddy bonus points

Some barn buddies provide bonus points in Dressage, Showjumping, or Western competitions when assigned to a horse. In your inventory, you can view the barn buddy to see how many bonus points it provides.

These barn buddies give 12 extra points during a competition in the dressage discipline.
